One of the most important pieces of your business is your email list. If you ever lose your website or other marketing channel then you’re going to be able to contact those people on your list. It is so important to backup that list daily and backup the backup. Put contacts from all sources on one list and make it part of your daily routine.
There is nothing worse than losing your whole website and not have a copy of all of your contacts. I’m talking about about backing them up from all sources including feedburner, aweber, your blog, facebook, your twitter list of names, etc.
Back it up and put it in several different places. Make a master list and save it in a fire proof box. Honestly, I think your contact list is the most valuable piece of information you have in your business.
Recently, I came across an issue with twitter where I couldn’t follow anymore people until I gained more followers. Sometimes this does happen as I make it a point to follow others who have the same business or political ideas I do or they have a cosmetics, fashion, couponing, or wahm site. Unfortunately, this also means that many of these people do not follow you back because they either don’t bother following their followers or they aren’t interested in following others.
I started to manually go into the profiles one-by-one to pick out which ones were eggs and which ones do not follow back. I only have about 2500 twitter followers and people I follow so that task wouldn’t be as bad as if I had over 20,000 followers, but still it is very long process to do by hand. I did a search on google and found TweetAdder3.
TweetAdder3 is a tool that helps social networking managers take care of their twitter accounts. You can add and remove followers in bulk and with many different options. It did specifically what I needed and that was to unfollow the people I follow who do not follow me back. This way I could easily filter out old accounts, fake accounts, and those who really aren’t interested in what I have to say.
The short demo in the video on this post will show you how easy it is to run TweetAdder either in the background to constantly watch your followers or to do it all at one time. As you will see, it isn’t difficult to manager your group of fans with this tool.
If you have used TweetAdder then I would love to hear from you. If you haven’t used it before, then download it here and try out the evaluation copy. There is no charge to use the demo.
These sites supposedly give you more twitter followers. I have tried some and many won’t even load for me. If you know of others, please use the contact form to tell me about them. I will continue to update this page as I find more information on these and other sites.

I am not quite sure how mustfollow.info works yet. I have to review it. It looks like each member gets a site and then resells followbacks for $10.00 or more. There isn’t much info on this. It is sold via P ayPal. I am very skeptical of apps that don’t work and this one doesn’t seem to work at all. There is no information on how it works, who the followers are, why I should trust the paypal address I’m sending to, etc.
Do you need to refocus on your home business and your reason for doing it? I had to. Recently I noticed sales falling and it is mostly because I had lost focus on my “why”. The why is the reason why I’m in business in the first place. If I didn’t have my why then I’d be working 9 to 7 in a dead end job somewhere in the City. Fortunately for me, I can work from home and I have the skills to succeed. Because of the shift in economy and human nature sales have slowed for some. Some of us need to just reevaluate the why, the reason, refocus on my dream and move on ahead.
Today I’m going to tell you how to get paid through real writing jobs online.
The global recession has cost millions of jobs all over the world. People are getting laid off or fired because employers just can’t afford to keep them any longer. Many people are opting to take matters into their own hands and are starting businesses. Others are finding jobs through the online market such as writing jobs.
Many writing jobs can be done by anyone. No experience required. While there are jobs offered to accomplished writers, there really aren’t a lot to go around. Since companies are trying to cut costs by hiring outside the company instead of having full time staff available, it’s easier to find real writing jobs right now.
Don’t let the unemployment numbers fool you. More and more people are starting businesses from home such as contract writing because they just can’t find work in their old fields. Because of this global market expansion of companies laying off workers and people trying to find work from home, it is important to act fast because positions are filling up.
If you really want to get fired then by all means, go ahead and tell everyone on facebook that you hate your boss and your job sucks for if you do then your boss could very well see it and fire you.
Can your boss legally fire you for that reason? Why not? He can certainly use your personality to hire you and if he doesn’t like what you say to your closest friends, especially about him, then why shouldn’t he?
Is it a question of freedom of speech? No. In fact, if what you say isn’t true then you could very well be sued for libel. If it is true then it is your responsibility to prove that what you said is true which is sometimes more difficult than some people think. And yet still, I would hope that a boss can still fire and employee for not holding up to company standards. Spreading rumors about another person whether true or not does look bad for the company.
Is it a question of privacy? No. The moment you let it out in to the open on a site like facebook you have agreed to give up your right to privacy. While you still own the text you have given them permission to print it. Just as Matjamela Motluong about his little quip against Jewish producers in South Africa.
Would I fire someone for saying something on facebook? Not necessarily, but I wouldn’t want my company name attached to his profile either. I believe people have opinions and although I might not agree or respect their opinions, I do believe in their right to say them. What I don’t believe in is having my company named attached to it. So say what you want, just don’t tell people you work for me either.
I love telling people about great shopping experiences so I was excited to find Yelp. When you Yelp, you tell people about local places and rate them. It’s really nice to know what to expect when you’re going somewhere or you need to comparison shop.
I’ve used Yelp for finding a great nail salon and to complain about a bad plumbing experience. I’ve also used it to rate my favorite grocery store chain 🙂 I’m sure I’ll be using it a lot more.
When you use these reviews don’t be vindictive or rude. Sometimes a person just has a bad experience one day out of many. These companies rely on their customers’ experience to make sure that others come in. Just be honest. I’ve seen reviews that make me want to visit to see if it really is that bad and a few times the reviewers seemed to just be angry at one experience.
